Sam
Bailey / Shed Creative Profile
Sam began working with metal in 1995 as an apprentice at Strawberry
Steel Forge in Tickenham, North Somerset. After completing a BA(Hons)
in Three Dimensional Crafts at The University of Brighton in 2004,
Shed Creative began.
Sam fits the true meaning of the term ‘artist blacksmith’
with his creative, unusual style and highly skilled craftsmanship.
His aim is to inject life and movement into the mundane and ordinary
whilst embracing the challenge of creating items for different client’s
tastes.
The experimental aspect of working with metal is what Sam really enjoys,
as well as the skill required in manipulating metal with a combination
of heat and force; it’s amazing what can be achieved.
Sam has exhibited his metal work in Brighton, New Designers in London
and various galleries in Bristol. Watch out for up-coming exhibitions
by joining the Shed Creative mailing list.
You are most welcome to visit the Shed Creative workshop and see Sam
in action, just get in touch to make an appointment. Shed Creative
is easily accessible from Junction 19 off the M5, Bristol.
